Where does my water come from?

     From the sky, of course!!

No seriously, where does my water come from?

OK,  most likely, your water comes directly from Acton wells. In fact, 90% of the residents of Acton get their from the same place. The Acton Water District has ten wells placed at different areas around the town. These wells draw water directly from the water table and send it off to a treatment plant. Then the next stop is your house.

Why does my water turn brown periodicly and the pressure go down?

Good question. When your water turnes colors, it is most likely the town flushing out your streets distribution pipes. This is accually a good thing. After a while the sediment that gets through the filters settles and starts to clog the pipes. The town flushes the pipes out to get rid of this sediments. The water usually turns brown from the iron rich sediment. Accually the town is flushing pipes right now.
